MEET THE CarePrep – WESTCHESTER DEVELOPERS

The Caregiver Collaborative	A group of professionals from organizations and agencies that have worked together for approximately 30 years. The collaborative is committed to serving caregivers across the age continuum, but especially, those caring for older adults. We do this through the development of programs, special projects, conferences, print materials, and education all aimed at doing good for the largest affinity group in the nation and the world…caregivers.




Mission/Goal	The mission of CarePrep-Westchester is to educate future and current caregivers by offering the resources they need to provide the best care possible for their loved ones and themselves.









Objectives	To bring caregiver issues to the forefront, thereby increasing public awareness about what has become an important societal issue To educate future and current caregivers about how to access resources, learn about policies, and how to collaborate and advocate for themselves To provide face-to-face, virtual and on-line classes on caregiver issues of all types presented by professionals with expertise in caregiving To serve caregivers across generations, thereby highlighting their mutual concerns no matter what age To avoid crisis mis-management by caregivers due to inadequate preparation
